Galactiguise.com is the brain child of Steve Fronczek. Steve acts as sole Author and Executive Editor for Galactiguise.com – The Art of Designing Battlestar Galactica.
Steve lived only a short drive away from the Vancouver Film Studios where the Re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series was filmed. Steve’s educational background in broadcast journalism gave him a broad base of skills from which to approach and research many topics which fueled his passion for researching the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica.
In 2006 Steve was able to meet Sci-fi Channels marketing director for BSG at a preview screening where he asked her Sci-fi’s position is on fan websites based on the show. Well, low and behold she says… “Oh, we love them.” This sparked Steve publishing a BSG blog and his journey to culminating nearly a decade of on-going research about Ronald D. Moore’s Battlestar Galactica.
Steve’s first website (Future-Past.com– about the props from the show) gained him the attention of the staff responsible for setting up NBC’s Battlestar Galactica auctions. Steve became intrinsically involved with the enviable task of working hands-on with all of the props, costumes, artwork, and set pieces for the wildly successful Battlestar Galactica auctions held in 2009. By working as Technical Writer and Technical Consultant on both of the 2009 Battlestar Galactica auction catalogs Steve was granted unprecedented access and insight into how the world of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica was created. From that once-in-a-life-time opportunity Galactiguise – The Art of Designing Battlestar Galactica was created so Steve could share his wealth of knowledge about Battlestar Galactica to fans.
Steve currently works part-time as Product Development Consultant for BSG consumer product licensee ANOVOS Productions LLC and its premium novelty enterprise, The NOVO Geek. Steve continues to work closely with several of the crew members from the Battlestar Galactica Art, VFX, Property, Costume, and Set-Dec Departments in developing content for this website.
